Liquor & Lore:
Colonial Christmas
Gather in the historic Reception Room at the War Memorial for a new and exciting holiday cocktail class from Liquor and Lore, taking place on Thursday, December 3rd.
This evening we’ll explore holiday drinks from early America, including some favorites of the founding fathers. Throughout the class, local cocktail historian Beth Vandergrift will guide guests through the creation of three distinct cocktails that attendees will then enjoy while Beth shares stories of the spirits and the season. Each cocktail will also be paired with a delectable light bite prepared by the War Memorial’s talented culinary team.
Guests will end the evening with all the recipes and know-how needed to recreate these festive tipples at home, along with a few more stories to share about the early American beverage scene.
Drinks may contain dairy. Please leave a note requesting a dairy-free alternative if needed when making a reservation.
Please note: due to the nature of the event all ticket purchasers must by 21+ and menu substitutions cannot be made.
Your guide for the evening is local cocktail historian Beth Vandergrift of Liquor & Lore. For each cocktail, Beth will demonstrate the technique, guests will craft their own, and then everyone will sip together while Beth shares the fascinating stories behind the spirit.
