Security Awareness for the Savvy International Traveler
Geared for tourists who’d like to be more aware of international security issues. This program will highlight safest places in airports, hotels, etc., whom to contact if you’re in trouble, keeping your mind alert and aware of which sites you should approach with caution, country-specific issues, and resources travelers can use to educate themselves prior to travel. Socially Challenged: Acquiring Skills Necessary for Everyday Interactions
Social skill deficits accompany many diagnoses, including: anxiety, ADHD, ASD, and speech-language impairments. The understanding and use of pragmatic language skills are essential for success across all contexts. We will explore ways to provide support and learning opportunities for children, tweens, teens and young adults who find social interaction challenging. FREE

Junior League of Detroit Designers Show House - Fisher Mansion
This will be the Junior League of Detroit’s 22nd Designers’ Show House. This biennial event is our largest fundraiser and an extremely popular public event. Funds raised support the JLD’s many community programs, including grants, college scholarships, and our recent initiatives: Project EAT that connects Education, Access and Tools to promote healthy eating, as well as partnerships with Cass Community Social Services, Forgotten Harvest and the Empowerment Plan.
