Join Dr. Judy Jacobs, PhD, RN, LPC as she discusses the importance of connecting with others to build up our resilience to the stressors that can ultimately cause illness. She will discuss various ways to get involved with your family, friends, and/or community.
Join us as we recognize and celebrate the Class of 2026 high school seniors from the Detroit area who have made the honorable decision to enlist in the United States Armed Forces.
During this presentation, author and researcher Lisa A. Lark will discuss her work researching more than 180 men from the Grosse Pointes who gave their lives in military service. She will share details about the research process, tell the stories of some of the Pointes' fallen heroes, and explain how to access military records for genealogical purposes.

We gather in the shadow of Les Braves, for a time-honored Memorial Day ceremony which will include musical tributes, remarks of remembrance and honor, and a recitation of the names of Grosse Pointe residents who lost their lives in service to our country.
Hosted by The War Memorial's veterans committee, gather with fellow veterans for camaraderie at The War Memorial. This will be a chance to connect with members of the committee, and catch up with area veterans.
We’re taking the VetConnect Seminar Series on the road! Join us for lunch at The War Memorial, followed by a bus trip to the Selfridge Military Air Museum.
This free special veterans gathering is set for Thursday, Aug. 20 from 6 to 7 p.m. Typically held in the morning, we’re switching this summer edition of Vet-To-Vet up by having it in the evening, and on the back lawn! This is a chance to meet with fellow veterans, share stories of service, and enjoy the beautiful lakefront lawn.
