Patriotic Programming
Our veterans are not just names in a history book. They are our fathers and our brothers, our mothers and our sisters, they are our friends and our neighbors. They are the heroes next door. Their stories of sacrifice and courage must be preserved and shared with every generation so that we as a community may always be mindful of the selfless, brave individuals that are responsible for keeping our nation free.
An Evening of Red, White & Blue
The War Memorial’s signature annual gala held each year around Memorial Day. This inspiring evening brings our community together to celebrate service, honor legacy, and support meaningful programs that make a lasting impact. With a generous spirit and shared purpose, guests enjoy a memorable night of entertainment, dining, and philanthropy.
SummerFest Series
Each summer, The War Memorial comes alive with Summerfest, a signature concert and movie series that unites families and neighbors on the scenic shores of Lake St. Clair. Many of these programs are offered free, or at a reduced rate—ensuring that everyone can share in these experiences. This series is enjoyed by thousands, and provides exceptional visibility while supporting one of Southeastern Michigan’s most cherished summer traditions.
Holiday Traditions
The festivities begin with a spectacular Tree Lighting Festival, illuminating our historic grounds and offering a special experience to visit with Santa. Guests are then invited to enjoy Bedtime Stories with Santa, three enchanting evenings where wonder and warmth meet. The celebration continues with the ever-popular Breakfast with Santa, a joyful gathering for all ages complete with Santa’s grand arrival by helicopter.
