War Memorial Veterans Resource Fair Connects Those Who Served with Critical Support Services
GROSSE POINTE FARMS, Jan. 27, 2026 – Veterans and their families will have access to a wide range of essential services when more than 25 organizations from across metro Detroit gather for an upcoming Veterans Resource Fair at The War Memorial.
The free event will take place Thursday, Feb. 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Fred M. Alger Center. Attendees can connect with organizations offering support related to employment, housing, healthcare, education, mental health services, Veterans Affairs benefits, and more — all in one location.
“With America’s 250th anniversary upon us, The War Memorial is excited to bring those who have stood watch and served our country together for an evening of information and engagement,” said Maria Miller, president and CEO of The War Memorial. “We are proud to connect veterans and their families with the resources they deserve, not just during this historic anniversary, but every day.”
Organizations expected to participate include the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund, Fisher House Michigan, Macomb County Community Mental Health, Great Lakes National Cemetery, Mid-Michigan Honor Flight, and additional regional service providers. By convening multiple service providers together in one place, the Veterans Resource Fair helps streamline access to benefits and support for veterans and their loved ones.
The War Memorial gratefully acknowledges the generous support of Verizon, its Patriotic Programming sponsor, whose commitment helps make these community-focused events possible.
All attendees will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win two tickets to the Feb. 19 Fever Candlelight: Tribute to Queen and The Beatles concert at The War Memorial. Registration is encouraged. For more details on the Resource Fair and to register, click here.
