Vet-To-Vet: Medal of Honor Convention Update

Vet-To-Vet:
Coffee, Conversation & Community

Join fellow veterans for a welcoming morning of coffee, conversation, and camaraderie at The War Memorial.

Vet-to-Vet brings together veterans of all eras in a relaxed setting where connections are formed, stories are shared, and the bonds of service continue long after military life. Whether you're newly discharged or long retired, you'll find an opportunity to connect with others who understand the unique experiences of military service.

This month's gathering features special guest Valde Garcia, planning committee deputy chair for the Congressional Medal of Honor Society Convention 2026. Garcia will share updates about this extraordinary event coming to Detroit Sept. 30–Oct. 3, including what attendees can expect as Michigan hosts the nation's largest annual gathering of living Medal of Honor recipients for the first time.

The Congressional Medal of Honor Society Convention celebrates courage, sacrifice, service, and the enduring legacy of those who have served our nation. Attendees will gain a unique behind-the-scenes perspective on this historic occasion and its impact on the veteran community.

Held regularly at The War Memorial, Vet-to-Vet offers veterans a place to build connections, gather in good company, and enjoy meaningful conversation in a welcoming environment.

This event is free to attend, but registration is encouraged.
