Brought to you by the Grosse Pointe Artist Association:
Surprise your friends and family with a Holiday card you made especially for them using the Japanese woodblock printing.
Celebrated for her Japanese woodblock prints, Nobuko will guide you through the process and provide the tools and most of the materials you will need to make a memorable Holiday card to share.
For all registering, Nobuko will provide a Japanese Shina board and printing paper. Registration deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 22, so she can order supplies from Japan.
Those, who have taken a workshop with Nobuko in the past, are asked to bring their own tools. For those new to Japanese woodblock printing, Nobuko will loan carving tools and special Japanese printing brushes.
Everyone must bring a 5inx7in design, up to four watercolors and watercolor brushes.
You will be able to print five cards during class and have your woodblock to make many more before the Holidays.
