At The War Memorial, we believe in the power of cuisine as art. For our first Evening with Chef Joe Paxton event for 2024, we celebrate our Michigan Spring with a culinary experience inspired by the reawakening of nature we experience at this time each year.

Join us for a special evening that includes a 4-course meal featuring remarks by Executive Chef Paxton, suggested wine pairings, and a full cash bar throughout the evening. When you arrive you will receive your choice of a glass of sparkling wine or water to begin the evening. Tickets are available with and without our suggested wine pairings. Ticket Information

Dinner Ticket: $75

Dinner Ticket with Paired Wine: $95

Full Cash Bar will be available throughout the evening

Your ticket price already includes a 21% gratuity and 6% Michigan sales tax

*Dinner experiences at The War Memorial require a minimum attendance; guest minimums may vary per event. If the minimum attendance requirement is not met for this event, you will be notified by Friday, April 12, 2024 with a rescheduled date or the option to receive a full refund.

Starter

On Your Table Upon Arrival Spring veggies, green goddess dressing, and grilled bread

First Course

Halloumi Fries with hot honey and fresh herbs

Optional Wine Pairing: San Rocco Valpolicella Ripasso

Second Course

Seared Diver Scallop and Grilled Shrimp with Corn and Potato Succotash, Jolli Cochon (jowl bacon/ramp pesto)

Optional Wine Pairing: Broglia Gavi La Meriana 

Third Course

Pistachio Crème Brulee with roasted strawberry/pistachio gremolata

Optional Wine Pairing: Marenco Strev Moscato d'Asti
