Getting Here

We are only 9 miles from Campus Martius in downtown Detroit, 29 miles from Somerset Mall in Troy, and 10 miles from Veteran’s Memorial Park in St. Clair Shores.

Bus Route:
Bus stops are available across the street from us, and on the same side of the road just north of our grounds.

Biking/Walking Route:
The sidewalk goes in front of The War Memorial and is continuous on the same side of the road from Detroit and ends just past our grounds. A bike rack is located on the north side of the Arts and Education Center.

Lake Shore Dr. Construction

The current construction on Lake Shore Dr. will effect the public’s ability to access The War Memorial. The first phase of construction (beginning 9/24) will see the 2 south/west bound lanes, and the middle north/east bound lane closed. The lane closest to our driveway will be the only lane open, and traffic will flow the normal direction for this lane (north/east).

The approved detour is to take Cadieux to Lake Shore Dr. and turn left. This map illustrates this detour and traffic pattern.
