U of M Museum of Natural History

After migrating to its new home, the U-M Museum of Natural History is now open with more exhibits and so much more to discover! But don't just expect a bunch of old bones. Embedded among the labs at U-M's new Biological Sciences Building, the museum doesn't just preserve the past; it also shows off the latest in scientific research with interactive exhibits, new programming spaces, and a state-of-the-art Planetarium & Dome Theater. We will attend the planetarium show Sun, Earth and Moon, and also see a live science demonstration!  After the museum, we will head over to the famous Zingerman’s Deli for a delectable lunch and shopping at the store and bakery.

Comerica Park Tour

SOLD OUT! Comerica Park is a special place for Tigers fans and the city of Detroit. We will go on a behind the scenes tour, including the Visitor’s clubhouse and dugout, the Tiger’s dugout, the Ernie Harwell Media Center Press Box, and learn about the art and statues around the park.   After our tour, we will board the QLine and see the sights of the city and stop at Hopcat Detroit for a delicious lunch.  Please dress for for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.

Summer Discovery Cruise - Nature of Lake St. Clair

Summer Discovery Cruises offer anyone interested in exploring Lake Erie, the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair the opportunity to get out on the water for an educational experience. Cruisers can learn about many aspects of the lakes, from lighthouses, shipwrecks, bootleggers and history and culture of the region to fish, ecology, restoration and wind, waves and water. This 2.5 hour cruise departs from Lake St. Clair Metropark at 2pm.  We will enjoy a tasty lunch at Terry’s Terrace before we sail!

To complicate this family drama, Chris and Ann are in love and want to get married. All My Sons shows a post-war American family in a spiral of lies, greed, love, and loss. We will start our day with a delicious lunch at the Common Grill, followed by a tour of the Jiffy Mix plant, then off to the Purple Rose theater for a 3pm performance.

Since 1972, the Historic Houses of Worship tours have acquainted metro Detroit residents with the contributions that religious institutions have made in the development of our community.  We will join the Detroit Historical Society for the tour that includes motor coach transportation, docent commentary, historical presentations at each tour stop, and lunch. Tentative tour sites include Masjid Wali Muhammad, New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, St. Matthews and St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, and Triumph Church.
