Harvest Season

About the film

California’s Napa Valley is one of the top wine-growing regions in the world, celebrated for at least four decades as a kind of American Eden: an idyllic and luxurious global destination, but a place where vineyard workers and small producers are rarely credited for the valley’s famed bounty. Filmed over the course of one agricultural year, “Harvest Season” delves into the lives of those who are intimately connected to the winemaking process, introducing viewers to people who are often background characters in other narratives about wine. The film provides an immersive look at the difficult and dramatic process of making some of the world’s most celebrated wines.
