At The War Memorial, we believe in the power of cuisine as art. Over the past year, we’ve worked to bring the top chefs from Detroit (and, indeed, from around the world) to our kitchen, hosting special evenings of food, connectivity, and exploration. Our 2019 series of culinary adventures features adventures in food spanning a variety of cultures and flavors. Join us for an amazing dinner featuring remarks by guest Chef Matthew Schellig, your dining experience will be enhanced with a complimentary cocktail of your choosing followed by fellowship with friends old and new!

Baccala i brovada
salt cod ‘pate’ served with Asiago crostini, pickled turnips, beet salad, and blood orange gastrique
Hand rolled traditional egg pasta filled with braised short-rib and egg yolk, tomato sauce, and garlic sautéed rapini
Pollo al Forno
pan roasted chicken stuffed with mushroom, sage, rosemary, and lardo, accompanied by polenta, carrots, sweet & sour braised cabbage
Pesche a Crema
preserved Michigan peaches with almond panna cotta streusel topping
All events begin with one complimentary cocktail of your choice at 6:30pm. Dinner follows around 7pm. A cash bar is available throughout dinner.
