Monologue and Song Master Class

A week-long intensive masterclass for more experienced actors, this camp provides one-on-one instruction, group exercises and collaboration, peer critique, and audition techniques.

Working with actor/director/teacher and SAG member Kirk Erickson, students will hone and refine their abilities, techniques, and repertoire in a creative, stimulating, and professional environment. The curriculum will be custom-tailored for the group, resulting in an immersive theatrical experience for each participant.

Each camp session will take place onstage in The War Memorial’s beautifully renovated Patriot Theater.

  • Open to actors in grades 9 through 12 with theatrical experience; if you’re not certain this camp is for you, please call Denise Fry at 313.332.4056, or email dfry@warmemorial.org, for more information

  • Actors should wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement and closed-toe shoes; flip-flops and sandals are strongly discouraged

  • Actors interested in musical theater will have the opportunity for vocal coaching, although singing is not required of any participant

·         Students should bring their choice of material they are interested in practicing
